If you want a stunning red recycled wool Scottish tartan blanket, then this is it!
Soft but durable, you can use this beautiful Scottish tartan blanket to snuggle up during winter or as the perfect wool picnic blanket in the wild Australian landscape during the warmer months.
This is demonstrated beautifully here by Tasmanian local and Wild Adventure Chef Sarah Glover who modelled the recycled wool tartan blankets for our photoshoot at Tasmania’s private luxury island, Satellite Island which can be found just off the south-eastern coast of Tasmania, in the D’Entrecasteaux Channel between Bruny Island and the Tasmanian mainland – a true Australian made experience.
Part of our recycled wool blanket range, this recycled wool travel rug is not just eco-friendly, it also adds a subtle Australian luxury aesthetic to your home decor. It’s part of our mission to curate a wide range of eco-friendly homewares and sustainable homewares.
These practical recycled wool blankets are almost never in stock (people love them!), so if you want to get your hands on one of them, we suggest you do it fast!
This striking red tartan blanket is a Wallace Scottish tartan from the original clan of Scottish rebel William Wallace made famous by Mel Gibson in the film Braveheart. It is the perfect sustainable Christmas gift, graduation gift, or wedding gift – a true heirloom gift, these recycled wool travel rugs will last for generations. For fans of Outlander, this red tartan blanket is the perfect outlander tartan blanket and an ethical wool blanket at that!
We love our blankets because—
They have a luxurious and soft feel – they’re not fuzzy so they won’t shed
They’re super durable and are the perfect tartan travel rugs for road trips
They can double as a travel picnic blanket or to stay warm at festivals and outdoor events
Occupied by Scottish settlers, our town (originally known as Mount Sturgeon) was renamed Dunkeld after a small town in Scotland. So with that in mind and in tribute to the origin of the name ‘the Grampians’ thus titled by surveyor and explorer, Lieutenant Colonel Sir Thomas Livingstone Mitchell after the Grampians mountains in his native Scotland, GGCo. has curated these luxe recycled wool authentic Scottish clan tartan blankets.
